What did you do this past week?

I finished my lab for my network security class and have been trying to brainstorm some idea for topics for SWE. Besides school, I’ve been using Leetcode and Hackerrank to practice for interviews.

What’s in your way?

The topic is giving me some trouble, as I always take a while to come up with ideas. But I’m not too worried, my groups and I should be able to come up with something soon.

What will you do next week?

I will get started on assignments for my marketing class and network security class, along with the first part of the SWE project. I also have a couple of coding interviews to complete.

What was your experience of exceptions, IDB1, and types? (this question will vary, week to week)

I have worked with Python extensively before this class, so exceptions and types are familiar to me. IDB1 is a little daunting, but as I have done web development before, I am excited to start on it.

What made you happy this week?

I hit a new PR time for running a mile last week!

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

It’s not really tech, but if you have a monitor or even if you use a laptop, consider buying a monitor stand and keyboard. My neck always hurt after looking down at my laptop/monitor screen, and now my monitor is at eye level. There are some cheap ones on Amazon for less than $30.
